There is also a genuinely needed lightning rod at top of dome in exact central point above bedroom on mezzanine level at the roof light to conduct any possible lightning strike.

We will be experimenting to see if we can pick up any atmospheric electricity using lightning rods. Cables at ends of lightning rods are fed into cavity wall through central services hole which has relief holes taking cables from outside the dome into the cavity wall.

Again for the internal walls the hubs have a central service hole which allows for light fittings to be screwed to them as the hub central services hole has thread in it.

The cables from light fittings are fed through central services hole into cavity wall via relief holes in hubs not seen once aluminium triangles are bolted to hubs to form walls.

The doors are angled structures in dome profile shape to match the curvature of the 4v dome. They need glazing in them. I suggest top part of door that forms a Norman head to all three doors at equidistant from each other is glazed. It will be a chunky affair the doors because the cavity wall is 200 mm thick.

The cavity wall will have hemp wool to insulate and all plumbing and electric cables will be positioned in cavity wall.

Under the stairs is storage plus water tank x2 one for cold water one for hot.

Water comes from French drain on the outside of square recycled plastic black raft the dome sits on.

The raft is a sandwich of 19 mm black Ekoply recycled plastic board sat on a 300 mm deep sand base.

On top of this Ekoply is 100 x 50 joists so 100 mm high. Then 20 mm anti slip Black Ekoply board on top of joists.

The Ground hubs are secured to the anti slip 20 mm recycled plastic anti slip board using screws which secure ground hubs in place.

Those customers preferring a concrete base can bolt through ground hubs into a concrete base.

The hub holes which take the struts are labelled with letters to let the dome builder know which strut goes in which hole in hub.
